Solatìo Chianti Classico
Five century of Chianti Classico history.
It was here, in the Chianti Classico hills, that Niccolo Machiavelli lived out his exile from Florence in the early years of the 1500’s. Today’s Chianti Classico Machiavelli is obtained using modern wine-making techniques that fully respect the great tradition of this House.
Bright ruby color; clear raspberry jam and violet aromas with strong hints of spice; full, forthright and balanced on the palate revealing an elegant backdrop of blackberry and almond that lingers at length on the palate.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Vinification: the grapes are harvested from September to October and fermented on the skins with around two weeks of maceration and regular pumping-over. Autolytic fermentation takes place at 25ºC.
Maturation: the wine matures for one year in small and medium barrels of French oak, and for at least three months in the bottle before being released on the market.
