Le Grillaie Vernaccia di S. Gimignano
light, fresh, dry.
A wine with a centuries-old history produced exclusively in the townlands of the Commune of San Gimignano, Vernaccia is dry, harmonious and full of taste. This Vernaccia owes its name to the most sun-blessed vines, where crickets love to build their nests which Tuscans call "grillaie".
Le Grillaie wine is light gold, with an aroma that has hints of flowers, honey and vanilla. It has a smooth and elegant flavour with fruity and pleasantly spicy notes.
Bunches of Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes are made into wine with a short maceration time. Following this, a small part of the wine is aged for a short period in fine wood barrels and then left to refine in the bottle.
