This Tuscan red, called "Principe" ("Prince") in homage to the most import work of Niccolò Machiavelli, the enlightened personality and old proprietor of the estate, springs from the vineyards that were husbanded by him centuries ago.
TASTE
Deep, dark ruby red color with bright purple lights; full, clearly defined, very elegant aromas led by notes of wild berry fruit jam and spices (vanilla, licorice, and cinnamon) with pleasant hints of mountain hay; dry, full, generous, and austere palate, yet warm and velvety showing an aristocratic finish of ripe blackberry and resin that lingers at length.
